Winter Collection 2008
Winter -what a fabulous collection of fashion this year! It’s the best we’ve seen for ages.
Key features are knitwear - soft merino in vibrant winter colours, styled in long-line cardigans and jackets, or more fitted styles with unusual button features, wraps with pins and clever use of the new combinations of bamboo and cashmere.Colour - we always have it, and this season is no exception. Red is especially strong, with accents of purple, turquoise, blues and chocolate. Do we need to mention black….? Still a major fashion staple in our wardrobe, but navy is showing this year as well.
Gaucho pants - about 7/8 length, teamed with boots - this is a funky look which is good on all sizes. We have pinstripes and plain, or trims of braid and studs. If you haven’t already worn these, come and have a try.
Long tunics - at last! Designed for pants or long skirts, they are one of the strongest looks for winter. Some can be worn with a merino underneath - we have some of the best in fabrics you will love.
Layering…..you’ve heard it before! It is perfect for our customers, and we have long camisoles to make it easy - put a shorter jacket over the top - and you have achieved the fashion statement you want.
Vests, waistcoats - whatever you call them, they are here and they are gorgeous. We love them - they cover the bits we want to while still looking fabulous! Some are a high fashion garment, with satin back and shaping - others are in felted wool, with topstitching. There are reversible micro fibre vests, zipped woollen vests - the choice is amazing!
Jackets are fabulous - whether you want a lined, tailored jacket, or a felted wool in a blazer style; a sumptuous velvet in stunning colours - the choice is yours.
Velvet is a big fashion player this season - crushed in ruby jackets, soft and draped into pants - it is luxurious to wear, and looks absolutely amazing.
