Cold weather.....bring it on! We are really looking forward to wearing the new fashions - every season seems to get better!
Colour - (We love it!) Red is featuring strongly, and purple is a hot new addition, in 100% cotton coats, knitwear, and teamed with hot pink. Charcoal is a welcome change to black (although we haven't finished our love affair with black!). Bold prints have great impact in long jackets and tops. This winter is brighter and more beautiful than many we have seen. There is nothing like a splash of colour on a grey day to lift your spirits!
Knitwear - One of the big fashion stories this season. Merino is a fabulous layering piece, warm and light. Merino tops in stripes of black with red, lime, orange and black are a huge hit. Long jackets, with a gorgeous soft handle, and all the fashion features we love. Cardigans and jackets in flecked wool have been a practical way to incorporate all the colours of your wardrobe - they go with everything. Cashmere and merino hoodies have been hot favourites this season - funky, but supremely wearable, with no extra bulk. Sleeveless vest in knitted styles are so easy to wear, for those who like to layer - we have some extra long vests with hoods, as well - a new look in the longer line showing this year.
Pants - the choice is yours. Whether you like long pants, or the 7/8 length so fabulous with boots, there is a great selection. We have 7/8 pants with button detail at the hem, in textured fabrics, as well as self-stripes and pinstripes. This is a great layering item - it is easy to achieve a funky look by wearing a longer shirt with a shaped vest over the top. We have vests peaked longer at the front that create this look so easily. If you suit the wider leg pants, soft fabric that drapes is available in these either long or cropped. If you don't know what suits you, do call in and have a try - everyone suits a different shape.
Layering - we talk about it a lot, and that's because it looks so fabulous! The secret is to choose garments that are fine, and to get the lengths balanced. A good way to start this season is with some superbly cut pants, a longline singlet, and one of the stunning long jackets in vibrant winter colours. Alternatively, you may suit a shorter jacket - the variations are endless. Don't forget that accessories complete this look, and we have an amazing selection of jewellery. Long, chunky necklaces work particularly well. Tunics with narrow pants can be one of the most incredibly flattering looks, and tunics are featuring some unique fashion details.
Lengths - Long is back!! For those tall girls who have been waiting - this is your time! Jackets below the knee, singlets with assymetrical hems to the thigh - we have them all. Of course, we still have the shorter lengths as well - luckily, we are all different, and we celebrate that fact every day. Short, cropped jackets and waistcoats work well alone, or over a longer garment.
Style secrets - remember that you are unique - there is no-one like you in the world, and your style is yours alone. This is a season where you have endless choices about how to create the impression you want to make, whether it is a classic, timeless look, or funky and colourful - it is the right look for you - Celebrate!
